How to get to nayara

HOW TO GET HERE

Nayara Springs is located ten minutes away from the town of La Fortuna de San Carlos, in the Northern Highlands of Costa Rica. The quiet and charming town is centered on a beautiful park with colorful gardens and a large church.

The resort is under thirty minutes to most of the adventures and eco-excursions that have made the Arenal Volcano area the premier tourist destination in Costa Rica.

Nayara Springs is nearly equidistant between Costa Rica’s two international airports. It takes about two-and-a-half hours driving from San Jose Alajuela Airport (SJO) and about three hours from Liberia Airport (LIR).

About Weather and seasons

We are in the middle of a rainforest and the weather can be unpredictable. You can have sun and rain at the same time. As a general rule, from January to May the days are very warm and the evenings can be breezy. You can expect rain in the afternoons.  We recommend bringing a light sweater or a pashmina. From June to  December, days and evenings are very warm (hot at midday), and you can expect rain at different times throughout the day.

Our resort is a casual environment where you will want to take advantage of walking through the lush plant life. We recommend comfortable walking shoes and breathable fabrics.

Feel free to leave high heels at home! 

Nayara has umbrellas available throughout the hotel, so you can always feel prepared for the afternoon showers that are common in the rainforest. You may also want to pack a rain jacket and clothes that won’t be ruined by getting wet.
